The presentation focused on the Europeanization of rural policies, and more specifically, local development strategies, driven by the LEADER program.
The focus is on multi-level governance and its impact on the systems implemented at the local level by public and private stakeholders.
This presentation explored two study areas: the Ancenis region (Loire-Atlantique) and the Haute-Mayenne region (Mayenne).
The initial results highlight differences between the two regions in the reception of the LEADER model and its local translation by stakeholders.
The differences are due to factors such as:
The length of time the LEADER program has been implemented in the region
The level of knowledge and trust between public and private stakeholders
The region's level of socioeconomic development.
